centerpiece stuck in the housing

Dear All, 
I have a problem of an epoxy centerpiece stuck in the housing (and the
other one is being very tight). Is it housing deformation or centerpiece
swelling? And what would be the remedy? 
As we run only water-based smaples, swelling shouldnt be a problem.
