Re: no more lamp cleaning

I had some of this upgrade kit from Beckman for a while. It consists of a
window for the mono that you can remove and clean. There is a very expensive tool
that comes with it to remove the mono window. It also has a new lamp socket/cord
and lamp assy. You use part of your old lamp assy. We could not get a lamp for it.
After waiting for several months and being in energy trouble, I just replaced our
old lamp (standard) with the same type and got to a good uniform energy across the
cell. The new lamp was touted as having "better energy" and not requiring cleaning.
Our Beckman guy said they tend to reduce overall energy. I have elected to wait and
see.
