Dear Sandy,

An historic reference, but still with very carefully measured data for a 
number of physical parameters (including partial specific volumes) of both 
Na DNA and Cs DNA is:
Cohen, G. & Eisenberg, H. (1968). Deoxyribonucleate Solutions: 
Sedimentation in a Density Gradient, Partial Specific Volumes, Density and 
Refractive Index Increments, and Preferential Interactions. Biopolymers 6, 
1077-1100.
