RE: cleaning quartz windows
I have had excellent results with RBS-35 detergent from Pierce Chemical. It
has the cleaning power of the more aggressive acid or base cleaners, but is
non-corrosive and safe to handle. It doesn't etch the windows, and I have
never had any problems with residues or sample carry-over.

Subject: cleaning quartz windows
Quick question--how do most people clean the quartz windows?
Is
something like No-Chromix (an alternative to Chro-merge,
using
sulphuric acid) okay for the windows? Or would a base
cleaner be
better/safer?
Thanks.
