Equilibrium

Dear RASMBers,
Thanks to everyone for their very informative answers about the lowest
association constants attainable by sedimentation equilibrium. Acoording
to the responses, the lowest obtained thus far is 1mM under with a custom
centerpiece(Shapiro et al, Neuron, 1996). However, the lower limit depends
on factors such as optical system and non-ideality at high concentrations,
according to most. 0.1 - 0.01 mM seems to be a fairly reasonable
expectation under normal circumstances. I am still working on the
references as far as that is concerned. Again, thanks for taking the time
out to help.

Nicole
