I should have explained, in connection with my recent mail, that the
phenomenon of 'Wiener skewing', which derives from and makes verbal sense
only in connection with velocity work using schlieren optics, arises from
the 3rd order term in the Svensson equation. I am trying to avoid using the
terminology, as it can give the (quite incorrect) impression that only
schlieren optics are affected.
