RE: scratches on centerpieces
Many years ago in the yphantis lab I learned to use pipe cleaners bent
into a U shape to clean sed vel cells - as long as I don't let them sit
around & dry out I find they work very well & we have not noticed
scratching from this procedure. With 6 channel sed equil cell you must go
straight in with the wire & be very careful to not touch the walls until
the soft cover is in the channel.
With external loaders the cleaning process is flushing (using a weird home
made devise called a hexapus) with lots of soap & water & alcohol & no
dismanteling & it appears to work well - the flow rate must be such to
cause convection & extensive mixing.
I am curious to hear what others do.........
