UltraScan is a comprehensive AUC data editing and analysis program
specifically developed on and for Linux, with binaries available for
all major Unix platforms (Sun Solaris 7, SGI Irix 5.x and 6.x, DEC
Alpha OS/F 4, Macintosh Linux PPC, Sparc/UltraSparc Linux.
Among other things it includes:
Sed. Velocity:
* van Holde - Weischet analysis
* second moment analysis
* finite element whole boundary fitting
- non-interacting unlimited components
- monomer-dimer equilibrium
- isomerizing equilibrium
- concentration dependent non-ideality in S and D
* DCDT
* DCDR
Sed. Equil
* NONLIN equivalent currently under development
* ln(C) vs r^2
* equilibrium speed calculator
Simulation:
* finite element simulations of sed. veloc and approach to equilibrium exp.
* self-association equilibrium concentration simulator (sassoc)
* ellipsoid modelling program from MW, s and D (axial ratio predictor)
* calculation of S, D, vol, frictional coeff. from axial ratios for
various ellipsoid and long rod models.
Help:
* Integrated, context sensitive documentation/Help
* complete manual
* various tutorials
The software is available for free download, incl. source code (upon request).
A preconfigured Linux distribution complete with KDE desktop, development
environment, webserver, Office productivity software, and PC/Apple/Unix
networking is also available on CDROM. Includes complete installation
manual for pure Linux or Linux/Microsoft Linux dual boot setups.
