Use of salts in aluminum centerpieces
Greetings RAMSBer's:
We are in the process of performing sedimentation velocity experiments
requiring sodium chloride and other salts in the buffer. We have used
the epon-charcoal centerpieces until the present time, but need to use
the anodized aluminum centerpieces for higher velocity runs in the near
future. From Spinco's Chemical Compatibility tables, we know that most
salts are incompatible with the aluminum centerpieces; however, we would
appreciate it if anyone has any information concerning the concentration
of sodium/potassium chlorides/sulfates that may be safely used in
conjunction with the aluminum centerpieces.
With advanced thanks,
