faulty window liners?

I am a Model E user.  When I ran out of Bakelite window liners for my 
cells in August, I reordered a package of six (#362329).  The new liners 
are considerably thicker than the old ones, and I can't use them unless 
I force the windows very tightly into the window holders.  Has anyone 
else had this problem?  Was it a bad batch?
