XL-A/XL-I, Computer - Instrument slow response
Hi,
Windows 95 has a bug that may cause problems with the Analytical
communications.
Symptom(s);
Slow response between computer and instrument.
Com errors or timeouts.
Missing data.
Computer lockup
and probably a few more.
Action;
Goto My Computer/Control Panel/System/Device Manager/Com Ports. Select
the Com Port the instrument is on.
Select Port Setting/Advanced. This is the Buffer settings. Adjust the
setting to the minums for both Transmit and receive.
Be sure to click on OK to get back out so the new settings will take
effect. The slowness should go away.
Best regards
Jerry
