Postdoctoral Position Available

Postdoctoral Position Available to study the kinetic and thermodynamics of
protein/protein interactions during virus capsid assembly. You will be part
of an interdisciplinary team building realistic computer simulations of
virus capsid assembly. The position involves measuring the kinetic and
thermodynamic parameters of protein/protein association using such
techniques as BiaCore analysis, analytical ultracentrifugation and
calorimetry. Using mutants you will investigate the role of particular
protein domains on morphogenesis. Significant interaction with the
computational design group is expected.  The ideal candidate will have a
background in protein biochemistry, kinetics, and structural biology.The
position is in the Department of Microbiology at the Univ. of Alabama at
Birmingham.
