Micelle determinations
Subject: Time: 9:43 AM
OFFICE MEMO Micelle determinations Date: 12/1/97
I was wondering if anyone has any experience determining cmc values by
ultracentrifugation. I know that it's possible but I was hoping for some
advise from anyone that has done this before starting out. Thanks.

Judith:
Another recent one to add to the list Richard has given is: S.A.
Hagan et al (1996) Polylactide-Polyethylene glycol copolymers as drug
delivery systems - characterisation of water dispersible micelle
forming systems. Langmuir 12, 2153-2161. Includes also some
encapsulation studies. There is of course a lower concentration
limit for the u/c. - probably the Wilhelmy plate method (surface
tension) is more appropriate
