Dear Dr. Aerts (and RASMBers),

You asked about determining the equilibrium
constant and stoichiometry of a chemical
interaction of A and B.

The MLAB software can effectively handle this
estimation problem. Finding the equilibrium
constant is a matter of fitting with the CORRECT
model, including a conservation of mass equation,
and a non-ideality model (this is an implicit function
model.) Finding the stoichiometry
is a matter of trying each possible model and
determining which fits the best.
(MLAB does general mathematical modeling, so it
is also useful for various other equilibrium and
kinetic analyses.)

Please see the technical note entitled:
"Ultracentrifuge Data Analysis" at the
web-site: www.civilized.com

You can also download a free trial copy
of the MLAB software from that site.
