vbar in urea

Dear Arthur,

In response to your e-mail about vbars in urea, we measured these for the
DNA-binding domain of human papilloma virus E2 protein up to 5M urea.
Our
results are published in Table 2 of Mok et al.(1996), Protein Science, 5,
310-319.
These measurements were made using a Paar density meter, with the
solutions at
dialysis equilibrium.

While this particular protein probably differs from yours in the absolute
values
of vbar for the two, the trend we saw might be of some help.

Yours,

Jo Butler
