urgent request for advice

Festive Greetings to RASMBers !

I'm writing this on behalf of Jim Hoggett at York University 
who wishes to convert the UV absorbance scanner data of his 
Model E to a digital signal to ease subsequent data analysis.

He would be grateful if anyone who has (even the remotest of)
experience with this could advise him about what electronics,
software and money (!) he will need: he has to submit an
application for funding this weekend- hence there is some
urgency in his request.
