v-bar for Glycoproteins

John,
   We have had good success in computing glycoprotein vbar values using
amino acid and carbohydrate composition data. I have used values for
typical carbohydrate components (page 78) from "Glycoproteins, Their
Composition, Structure and Function" volume 5 edited by Gottschalk and
published by Elsevier(1972). This chapter is a nice review of glycoprotein
physical chemistry.Also Perkins in Eur. J. Biochem. 157, 169-180 (1986)
addresses this issue.
