how to type vbar

Hi everyone !

Isn't it great that just now and then you see a query to which there really is
an answer ?  Geoff Howlett's problem of how to type vbar (with a bar over the
v) is solved in MS-WORD if in the SYMBOL font you type together {ALT  SHIFT  -}
- that last one is the 'minus' sign

Solutions to his other problems follow on when I have a few more
minutes/days/months/years {as appropriate}
